Cashew Kernels from India
Cashew is sold by grade, and the grade decides the price — a buyer ordering W240 for a gift pack is buying something quite different from a baker ordering splits. We supply white wholes, scorched grades and pieces, vacuum packed to hold freshness through the voyage.
- W180 to W450 white wholes
- Scorched grades and pieces
- Vacuum packed, nitrogen flushed
- APEDA & FSSAI registered
- Available year round
- Ships in standard dry containers
Cashew Kernels
Raw cashew comes out of the shell attached to a caustic oil that has to be dealt with before anything else, which is why processing matters more here than with most nuts. Nuts are steam conditioned, shelled, dried, peeled and then graded — by hand for the top grades, since machines still can’t match a trained eye for colour and chip damage.
Grading follows the standard trade system. The W grades are white wholes, numbered by how many kernels make up a pound: W180 is the largest and most expensive, W320 is the commercial workhorse that most of the world buys, W450 the smallest whole. Scorched grades are kernels that took more colour during drying but are otherwise sound, and pieces — butts, splits and small bits — go to bakeries, confectioners and sweet manufacturers who are going to chop them anyway.
Kernels are vacuum packed and nitrogen flushed, which keeps the oil in them from going rancid and keeps insects out. Tell us the grade and quantity and we’ll quote; if you are not sure which grade fits your use, tell us what you’re making and we’ll suggest one.

Packing And Delivery
Kernels are vacuum packed into pouches, nitrogen flushed to displace oxygen, and sealed into cartons of 22.68 kg net — the long-standing trade pack of 50 lb. Cartons are palletised and loaded into ordinary dry containers; cashew does not need refrigeration, but it does need to stay dry, so containers are lined where humidity on the route is a concern. Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and phytosanitary certificate go with every shipment, along with a batch analysis report where your buyer requires one.
