Fresh Green Chilli from Maharashtra, India
Green chilli is one of the fastest-moving items on an export packing list, and it is unforgiving — it has to go from field to cold room within hours or it loses its shine and firmness. We buy direct from growers in Maharashtra, sort by length and colour on the same day, and pack for air or sea depending on the market.
- G4, Jwala and other varieties
- Sourced direct from Maharashtra growers

Green Chilli
India is the world’s largest chilli producer, and fresh green chilli travels well to markets where Indian and South Asian cooking is part of daily life — the Gulf above all, where demand runs steady through the year rather than in a season.
We mainly supply G4 and Jwala. G4 is the thicker, longer, darker chilli most Gulf buyers specify, while Jwala is slimmer and hotter and tends to go to buyers who want more heat. Chillies are picked in the cool part of the day, sorted for length, colour and firmness, pre-cooled and packed the same day.
How it ships depends on your market. Air freight gets the fruit there in a day or two with its gloss intact, which retail buyers often want; sea freight in a reefer at 7 to 10 °C costs far less and suits wholesale volumes. Tell us which you need, along with your length spec and pack size, and we’ll quote both if it helps.
Common uses
Fresh cooking, retail packs, restaurant and catering supply, pickles, sauces and pastes, and drying for chilli powder.
