Fresh Cavendish Bananas from Maharashtra, India
Maharashtra grows more bananas than any other state in India, with the Jalgaon belt at the centre of it. We supply Grand Naine Cavendish — the variety the export trade runs on — cut at the right maturity, de-handed, washed and packed green so the fruit arrives with ripening life still in it.

Banana
Bananas are a year-round crop here, which is the main reason importers like Indian supply — there is no closed season to plan around. Maharashtra alone accounts for a large share of the national crop, and Jalgaon district is the heart of it, with tissue-culture Grand Naine planted across most of the area.
Export bananas are judged on finger length, girth, crown quality and how evenly green the fruit is at loading. We cut at around three-quarter maturity, de-hand into clusters, wash in treated water, then pack and move the fruit into a cold room the same day. From there it travels at 13 to 14 °C, which keeps it dormant without causing chilling damage.
We can supply cluster packs or full hands, in the carton weight your market works with. Tell us your finger length spec, carton format and destination port and we’ll come back with availability and a quote.

Packing And Delivery
Fruit is de-handed into clusters, washed, air dried and packed into ventilated corrugated cartons with a poly liner so the hands sit tight and don’t rub in transit. Cartons are palletised and loaded into reefer containers at 13 to 14 °C — bananas suffer chilling damage below 13 °C and start ripening above 15 °C, so the temperature is held tightly for the whole voyage. Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and phytosanitary certificate go with every shipment.
